Do I need to make an appointment to tour the mansion?

We encourage you to purchase tickets to tour the mansion in advance online or by calling 319-362-7375 to guarantee your spot. See the schedule here.

Is the mansion wheelchair accessible?

Brucemore’s mansion is not currently accessible to wheelchairs due to preservation work. The mansion includes multiple flights of stairs. Most of the outdoor areas of the site are accessible. See our full accessibility information and contact us with additional questions regarding your visit.

Can I walk on the property?

Yes, the grounds and gardens are open daily. See hours here.

What is Brucemore’s ticket policy?

Tickets are generally non-refundable, but may be rescheduled for comparable programs as space allows. Learn more.

I’m attending a large event at Brucemore. Where do I park?

Large events may require you to park offsite. Please read the event details on the calendar for specific information for each event.

Can I take photos at Brucemore?

Although visitors to Brucemore are welcome to take candid photographs of the grounds and buildings for their souvenir purposes, professional photography is not permitted on the estate or in the buildings. As such, the following are considered violations of the photography policy:

  • Professional photography for private use: weddings, portraits, senior pictures, or any other personal use.
  • Professional photography resulting in images of Brucemore for sale.
  • Professional photography when the fee is waived or the service provided is “pro bono” for a client.
  • Non-professional photography resulting in publication of photos in yearbooks, newspapers, websites, or any other form of print or electronic media
