Upcoming Events
December 5 – From Undesirable to Undeniable
What happens when vulnerability finds its rhythm? From Undesirable to Undeniable is a live sonic journey through redemption, resilience, and raw self-discovery.
Poet and lyricist Klazik invites you into an atmosphere where words breathe and sound heals — carried by EJ Swavv’s textured production, Riley Thurm’s soulful pedal steel, and Lincoln Ginsberg’s grounding bass. Together, they build a space that feels both spiritual and human — where every track moves from struggle to surrender, from searching to soaring.
Past Events
May 2 – Gerard Estella, EJ Swavv, and Jason Alberty
To kick off this series, Brucemore’s Artisan in Residence Gerard Estella will be joined by two veterans of the Brucemore stage, EJ Swavv and Jason Alberty, for a night of music and comedy. This performance is sure to entertain you with a blend of original writing and creative takes on familiar songs.
June 13 – Bury Me
Originally written and produced for Starlighters II Theatre, Bury Me is a is a modern re-telling of Antigone performed in American Sign Language. The story explores the relationship of estranged sisters Andi and Izzy as they grapple with loss and each other after their brother’s suicide. This production stars four ASL-fluent actors (Jeff Dahle, Gretchen Brown-Waech, Brenda Falgier, and Jasmin Headley) with four English speaking translators. The performance will be followed by a talk-back with the actors, director and professional ASL interpreter Jennifer Smith, and playwright Grant Freeman.
July 25 – Brian Johannesen
Join us for an introduction to the earnest, heartfelt songcraft of Brian Johannesen. This performance will feature songs from his album Holster Your Silver, described as a “a heck of an enjoyable listen and a supremely well-crafted piece of Midwestern Americana” by Little Village Magazine. These gritty, story-driven songs are a perfect listen for fans of John Prine, Guy Clark, and Bruce Springsteen.
September 5 – Two Men and Some Keys
Produced by EJ Swavv. Starring Dillon Rairdin and Shawndell Young.
What do you get when you take two musicians from different musical communities and set them loose with some keys? A night that is as inspiring as it is entertaining. From soulful vintage piano melodies to modern synth compositions, Shawndell Young and Dillon Rairdin each take the stage with their own unique sound. Enjoy a night out with two acts of vocal and instrumental music that showcase the vibrant talents of two of the area’s best keyboard artists.
October 17 & 18 – A Night of Victorian Horror (SOLD OUT)
The Victorians were pretty creepy–with their black crepe and continual mourning and rippers and slashers and all. Join us for a relaxing evening of Victorian horror tales and morbid fright music with Lucy Conroy’s Cello of the Damned. We’ll dip into a couple of Poe stories with Aron Pozdol, Braden Rood, and Matthew James, as well as some ripping tales from the London fog.
