With over a dozen Christmas trees and thousands of twinkling lights, this breath-taking view of Brucemore is sure to bring Christmas alive for the whole family. These self-guided tours give you the opportunity to indulge in the cozy splendor of the season on select evenings in December.

Santa Claus is coming to Brucemore, and he wants to meet all the little ones in Cedar Rapids to make sure they made the Nice List this year. So, kids, make sure to bring your wish list to share with Santa, and adults, have that camera ready for the perfect snapshot! Enjoy other holiday activities inside the mansion during this event, including a craft, story time in the Nursery, and a take-home snack.

Glass Candy Cane Ornament

November 16 at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM

In this workshop, participants will design a candy cane ornament made of glass. Using a warm glass technique, you can craft your candy cane into a traditional design or create a colorful treat!

Clay Gingerbread Family Ornament

November 23 at 12:30 PM

Create a charming, handmade Clay Gingerbread Family ornament. Whether you’re making a cozy family of two or a bustling bunch, this heartwarming keepsake will be a treasured addition to your holiday décor.

Double Glass Holiday Trees

December 7 at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM

Design a beautiful double glass tree decoration using warm glass techniques. Both trees will share a single wooden display stand, so you can create a forest of sparkling holiday trees.

Mansion Mixers are your chance to explore Brucemore after hours while diving into fascinating stories from history. This holiday-themed installment in the series uncovers the odd, spooky, and just plain weird ways Victorians celebrated the season. Sip on a festive mocktail while you learn about bizarre holiday cards and the lost tradition of Christmas ghost stories. As you explore the mansion, search for Krampus figures hidden within the beautiful holiday décor. Your ticket includes snacks, a mocktail, and samples from Big Grove Brewery!

Step into an elevated night of entertainment as Brucemore welcomes SPT Theatre back for A Modern Salon. Inspired by the Parisian salons of the early 20th century, this intimate event blends music and storytelling for a unique night of entertainment in a sophisticated setting. Before the performance, guests will enjoy a curated wine tasting paired with hors d’oeuvres. Intermission brings sparkling wine and decadent desserts.
