What would you say if you could talk to your younger self?
Join us in Brucemore’s formal garden for a two-day-only performance of a new original musical. In this story by local writer Jason Alberty a long-married couple returns to a local garden where they shared some of the most important moments of their lives. While there, they run into two people who might actually be them thirty years before. Will they tell their younger selves about the trials of marriage and the pain of adulthood? Or will they leave the young couple to discover their future as it unfolds?
Take a journey through time in this musical experience being developed exclusively for performance in Brucemore’s Formal Garden. This celebration of local creativity is one that you won’t want to miss.
This event will begin with 20-minutes of live music to set the scene for a beautiful evening of art under the stars. The music will begin at 7:30, followed by a 15-minute intermission. The scripted performance will begin at approximately 8:05 PM with an estimated run time of 75 minutes.

When she is not playing on stage she she loves, running, reading, and spending time with her husband Matt and kids. She is Mom to five wonderful kids and Gigi to Oliver and Presley.
Greg Smith can be frequently found on Corridor stages. He was most recently seen in La Cage aux Folles (George), Parade (Old Soldier) and Titanic (Captain Smith) with Revival Theatre Company and Jersey Boys (Gyp DeCarlo) and Beauty and the Beast (Maurice) with Theatre Cedar Rapids. Greg would like to thank his entire family – Marcia, Michael, Emily, Beth, Zach, his parents, and his in-laws – for their constant love and support.
Eloise Prince is a recent graduate from George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has performed as Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly!, Cady in Mean Girls and Shelley in Bat Boy. This show’s location brims with childhood nostalgia for Eloise. She’s spent countless hours at Brucemore strolling with friends and family, checking on the critters at the pond, and experiencing gobs of live theatre.
This is Grant’s second time performing at Brucemore under the direction of Alberty. In 2019 he played Curly in Of Mice and Men. Other credits of Grant’s include, Riverside theater’s Romeo and Juliet (Balthasar), MVLCT’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Nick), RHCR’s A Few Good Men (Daniel Kaffee), Crooked Path’s The Merry Wives of Windsor (Robin), and many more over the years.
