Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring you this brand-new clay project! In this workshop, participants will create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind clay peony. The workshop instructor will guide participants step-by-step through this delicate process. Learn how to use forms to pull, shape, and tease the clay into natural looking petals that layer gracefully on top of each other to form your flower. While this project takes patience and practice, the result is well-worth the effort!
This workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. All instructions, materials, and tools are provided. Following the workshop, the instructor will take the projects to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to be kiln-fired and finished with a professional glaze resulting in a vibrant, perfect peony ready to hang on your wall.
Please register by May 27 at 5:00 PM to reserve your spot!
Admission: $50.00/per project
