Looking for a way to indulge your curiosity and your creativity this fall? Visit Brucemore on October 10 to enjoy free arts activities and lawn games on the grounds. The mansion will be open for self-guided tours for only $5 per person. This is the perfect chance to enjoy early autumn weather and see our current seasonal collections feature highlighting objects related to Cedar Rapids industries.

- $5 for self-guided tours
- Free outdoor arts activities and lawn games
- Brucemore Supporters receive free access to self-guided tours
- A $4 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders. Tickets may be purchased at the door without a processing fee.
What to expect from a self-guided tour:
- Self-guided mansion tours do not include access to buildings other than the mansion.
- Access to the basement Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar will be led by a member of our visitor services team approximately every 30 minutes.
- You may take as much or as little time in the mansion as you’d like, but we recommend planning to spend 45 minutes in the mansion to allow enough time to explore.
- The last entry time for self-guided tours is 4:30 PM. The mansion will close at 5:00 PM.
- Tours of the mansion consist of substantial walking and standing. The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors. The mansion does not have an elevator. Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.
What to do when you arrive:
- Enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.
- Once onsite, follow signs towards the mansion.
- There is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.
- If you purchased tickets in advance, please check-in with staff at the mansion at the time listed on your ticket. If you need to purchase a ticket, you can do that at the mansion when you arrive, subject to availability.
- The mansion entrance is on the south side of the building, through the front door next to the circle drive.
Tips for your visit:

- Please consider leaving bags or other large personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available, but it is not monitored during tours.
- Food and drink are not allowed inside the mansion during tours. We encourage you to enjoy a meal a one of Cedar Rapids’ local restaurants before or after your visit.

- Photography is allowed inside the mansion for personal, non-professional use. Tripods, selfie sticks, or other photography equipment is not permitted. Please read our photo policy here.
