DESCRIPTION:This Art at Brucemore workshop is sold out! \nBrucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring you this brand-new clay project! In this workshop\, participants will create a beautiful\, one-of-a-kind clay peony. The workshop instructor will guide participants step-by-step through this delicate process. Learn how to use forms to pull\, shape\, and tease the clay into natural looking petals that layer gracefully on top of each other to form your flower. While this project takes patience and practice\, the result is well-worth the effort! \nThis workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. All instructions\, materials\, and tools are provided. Following the workshop\, the instructor will take the projects to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to be kiln-fired and finished with a professional glaze resulting in a vibrant\, perfect peony ready to hang on your wall. \nPlease register by May 27 at 5:00 PM to reserve your spot! \nAdmission: $50.00/per project \nA $4 processing fee will be added to all online and phone orders. \nWhat to know before you go: \n\nWorkshop capacity is limited\, and workshops often sell out. Advanced registration is required.\nThis workshop is recommended for participants above the age of 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.\nAll participants must wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that covers their legs for safety.\nThis workshop lasts approximately ninety minutes.\nProjects will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the workshop date.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive: \n\nPlease enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403.\nOnce onsite\, please follow signs towards the Carriage House\, where there is onsite parking available.\nCheck-in for the workshop with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.\n\nTips for your visit: \n\n\n\nConsider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available\, but it is not monitored during the workshop.\nAll admission sales are final.
