SUMMARY:Art at Brucemore: Clay Art Deco Vanity Tray
DESCRIPTION:Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring you a brand-new clay project! In this workshop\, participants will craft a perfectly petite vanity tray. The workshop instructor will provide instructions to guide participants through the process of molding their vanity tray together. Once the tray is built\, participants will choose Art Deco inspired stamps to press a vintage pattern into their projects. When complete\, participants will have a one-of-a-kind vanity tray for all their bedside trinkets! \nThis workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. All instructions\, materials\, and tolls are provided. Following the workshop\, the instructor will take the projects to the Iowa Ceramics center and Glass Studio to be kiln-fired and finished with a professional glaze. \nEvent Date: October 18 \nEvent Time: 12:00 PM \nEvent Location: Brucemore’s Carriage House \nAdmission: $50 per participant \nPlease register by October 14 at 5:00 PM to reserve your spot. \nWhat to know before you go \n\nWorkshop capacity is limited\, and workshops often sell out. Advanced registration is required.\nThis workshop is recommended for participants above the age of 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.\nThis workshop lasts approximately two hours.\nProjects will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the workshop date.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nPlease enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403.\nOnce onsite\, please follow signs towards the Carriage House where there is onsite parking available.\nPlease check-in for the workshop with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.\n\nTips for your visit \n\nPlease consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available\, but it’s not monitored during the workshop.\nAll ticket sales are final.
