DESCRIPTION:Embrace your holiday cheer! \nThe holiday season is upon us\, and Brucemore is partnering with  the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring back this popular workshop! Create a beautiful tree from glass to decorate your home for the holidays or gift to someone special. All instruction and materials are provided during the class to make one 3”x6” glass tree using warm glass techniques. Projects include a wooden display stand. \nThis workshop occurs at Brucemore. All projects are then taken back to Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to be fired in their kiln. Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for a new ceramic project just in time for the holidays. Create your very own holiday gnome from clay using various hand-building techniques. When you finish sculpting your 4″x4″ gnome\, give it a personality by painting it with festive seasonally colored glaze. \nThis workshop will occur at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass studio to be fired in their kiln. DESCRIPTION:Due to severe winter weather\, all daytime and evening mansion tours have been canceled on Thursday\, December 22. “Brucemore Christmas” daytime tours are still scheduled on Friday\, December 23. If you have tickets for a canceled tour\, please check your email\, email mail@brucemore.org\, or call (319) 362-7375. Staff are working offsite and will return any voicemails as soon as possible.   \n\nEnjoy a self-guided tour of the mansion by glow of holiday lights! With over a dozen Christmas trees and thousands of twinkling lights\, this breath-taking view of Brucemore is sure to bring Christmas alive for you and your family and friends. This tour takes visitors to all four floors of the mansion\, including the infamous Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar. Favorite holiday carols and hymns played on Brucemore’s rare 1920s Skinner Player Pipe Organ will fill the home with music and cheer. \nOur Holiday Nights Tours for 2022 are sold out. Explore our award-winning holiday experience\, complete with over a dozen dazzling Christmas trees\, sparkling seasonal décor\, and a glimpse into the holiday seasons of yore at Brucemore. Imagine what it was like to live or work at Brucemore more than 100 years ago as you wander through three floors of history and holiday spirit. \nAfter your tour\, put on your hat and gloves to visit the grounds at no additional cost. The mansion grounds include a self-guided QR code tour\, formal garden\, a white garden\, orchard\, a pet cemetery\, and more that are especially beautiful after a snowfall.
