DESCRIPTION:Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for a dough-licious addition to the Art at Brucemore series! In this workshop\, participants will design a plate perfect for sharing cookies with all your favorite people this holiday season\, including Santa. All workshop materials and instructions for the warm glass technique are provided\, and no experience is necessary to participate!  \nParticipants will craft their cookie plates at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kilns. Your creation will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the class date\, just in time to indulge in all your favorite holiday desserts! \nTicket sales close on November 27 at 5:00 PM\, but this workshop often sells out in advance. \nWorkshop Date\nDecember 1\, 12:30 PM – SOLD OUT \nDecember 1\, 2:30 PM – SOLD OUT  \nAdmission\n$40 per participant \n\nWhat to know before you go \n\nCapacity is limited and workshops often sell out. Advance registration is required.\nRecommended for children ages 8 up\, and must be comfortable working with glass pieces. These self-guided tours give you the opportunity to indulge in the cozy splendor of the season on select evenings in December. \nTour Dates \n\nSelect evenings December 1 – December 26\nWednesdays\, Thursdays\, and Sundays\, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM\nAdditional tours on Tuesday\, December 17\, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM\nEntry times every 30 minutes. Last entry time at 7:30 PM.\nBrucemore is closed for the Christmas holiday on December 23\, 24\, and 25. \n\n Admission \n\n$18.00 Adult\n$10.00 Student (4+)\nFree (3 and under)\nBrucemore supporters receive a $5 discount per ticket.\nA $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.\n\nWhat to know before you go \n\nAll Brucemore holiday tours are self-guided experiences. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. SUMMARY:Art at Brucemore: Double Glass Holiday Trees - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:Embrace your holiday cheer! \nBrucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring this popular workshop back to the Art at Brucemore series – but this year it’s double the trees\, so double the fun!  \nYou will design a beautiful double glass tree decoration using warm glass techniques. Both trees will share a single stand\, so you can create a forest of sparkling trees to brighten your home for the holidays. All materials and instructions are provided\, and no experience is necessary to participate. Projects include a wooden display stand.  \nAfter creating your tree at Brucemore\, all projects are then taken back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kiln. Your creation will be ready for pick-up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks following the class date\, just in time to decorate for the holidays! \nTicket sales close on December 4 at 5:00 PM\, but this workshop often sells out in advance.  \nWorkshop Date \nDecember 8\, 12:30 PM – SOLD OUT \nDecember 8\, 2:30 PM – SOLD OUT \n Admission \n$50 per participant \n\nWhat to know before you go \n\nCapacity is limited and workshops often sell out. DESCRIPTION:Embrace your holiday cheer! \nBrucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring this popular workshop back to the Art at Brucemore series – but this year it’s double the trees\, so double the fun!  \nYou will design a beautiful double glass tree decoration using warm glass techniques. Both trees will share a single stand\, so you can create a forest of sparkling trees to brighten your home for the holidays. All materials and instructions are provided\, and no experience is necessary to participate. Projects include a wooden display stand.  \nAfter creating your tree at Brucemore\, all projects are then taken back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kiln.
