The mansion will close at 4:00 PM. \n\nWhat to expect from this tour \n\nSelf-guided mansion tours do not include access to buildings other than the mansion.\nThe basement will not be open on these days.\nYou may take as much or as little time in the mansion as you’d like\, but we recommend planning for 45 minutes to allow enough time to explore.\nTours of the mansion consist of substantial walking and standing. In this story by local writer Jason Alberty\, a long-married couple returns to a local garden where they shared some of the most important moments of their lives. While there\, they run into two people who might actually be them thirty years before. Will they tell their younger selves about the trials of marriage and the pain of adulthood? Or will they leave the young couple to discover their future as it unfolds? \nTake a journey through time in this musical experience written exclusively for performance in Brucemore’s Formal Garden. This celebration of local creativity is one that you won’t want to miss. \nDates: August 8 (sold out) & 9 \nAdmission: \n\nAdult: $25\nStudent: $15\nBrucemore supporters receive a $5 discount per ticket. The mansion does not have an elevator.  Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.\nThis tour covers the three main floors of the mansion and the Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar in the basement.\nThis tour is approximately 45 minutes long.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nEnter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE.\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. If you need to purchase a ticket\, you can do that at the mansion when you arrive.\nThe mansion entrance is on the south side of the building\, through the front door next to the circle drive.\n\nTips for your visit \n\nFor site navigation tips\, please watch this video. The mansion does not have an elevator.  Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.\nThis tour covers the three main floors of the mansion and the Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar in the basement.\nThis tour is approximately 45 minutes long.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nEnter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE.\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. DESCRIPTION:The 26-acre landscape highlights a variety of experiences to enjoy throughout the year! Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.
