Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.

Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm\nSaturday\, 10:30 am – 4:00 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! If you’re looking for a fun\, casual way to learn something new while connecting with other history fans\, then this event is for you! \nSeptember 12 – Live\, Laugh… Ludology?\nWhat do you have in common with someone from Bronze Age Turkey? You both love board games! \nFrom the ancient board games of Senet and the Royal Game of Ur to modern favorites like Monopoly and The Settlers of Catan\, humans have played board games together for thousands of years. During this Mansion Mixer\, get a crash course in your new favorite Scrabble word: ludology (ludus = game\, logia = study)! Discover the folklore behind some of the most well-loved board games in history while you sip a complimentary drink. \nDuring the social open house\, you will find board games and card games distributed around the mansion to play with your friends and fellow gamers. You’ll also have time to explore the mansion (which may come in handy for the evening’s group activity). Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.
