Attendees loved last October’s event\, so this year we’ve increased capacity and invited more Storytellers to give more people the opportunity to join in the fun. \nOn February 14\, we’re transforming Brucemore into Ravenswood Manor for an elegantly eerie\, masquerade-themed evening of social deduction. Guests are invited to don their best evening wear and a mask to hide their identities\,  just like the demons will be hiding their true intentions! \nWhether you’re looking for a unique Valentine’s Day date night or chance to play games with friends at Cedar Rapids’ most iconic historic house\, this is the perfect way to spend an unforgettable evening. Your experience will be set against the moody backdrop of the mansion after hours\, with live music to add to the ambience. Tickets include light appetizers\, a unique gaming experience\, and self-guided tour access to the mansion during cocktail hour. Canned soft and hard drinks will be available to purchase. \nAbout the Game: \nBlood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game of murder and mystery led by a Storyteller. Each player will be assigned a unique character and designated either good or evil. Good players share information to help solve the mystery\, while evil players lie to try to lead the group astray. The good team wins if they can work together to execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can wipe out the entire village. \nIf you’re not familiar with the game\, we recommend watching this video to see how it works! \nGet Tickets\nTickets: $30 per player | Brucemore Supporters receive $5 off each ticket. | A $4 processing fee will be added to all online and phone orders. \nThis evening will include games in three rooms that run at the same time. The number of games played will depend on how much time players spend on each game.\nGames include Night phases where the demon will choose which players to kill and Day phases where players will share their knowledge to try to solve the mystery.\nDuring Night phases\, players will be seated in a circle. During Day phases\, players will be able to visit other rooms of the mansion while they have conversations about solving the mystery.\nPlayers will receive their character assignments as they arrive. Please arrive by 6:50 PM to ensure gameplay can start by 7:00 PM.\nThis game is designed to be enjoyed by adults\, but players 15 and up may participate.\n\nNavigating the site: \n\nThe entrance to the estate is on Linden Drive. Some GPS systems may try to take you to another gate. This video and this labeled Google Map can help you plan your route to the entrance before you arrive.\nWhen you arrive on the site\, follow signs to the mansion. Parking is available a short walk from the entrance. If parking near the mansion is full\, overflow parking is available near the Carriage House\, which is a short walk from the mansion.\nEvent check-in is inside the mansion. Please enter through the front door\, located next to the circle drive.\n\nAccessibility Note: \nThe historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor\, and several flights of stairs to access the other floors. There is no elevator inside the mansion. After your mansion tour\, enjoy exploring the 26-acre landscape at no additional cost. \nAdmission \n\n \n\n$12.00 Adults\n$7.00 Students (4+)\nFree (3 and under)\nBrucemore supporters receive a $5 discount per ticket.\nA $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.\n\n \n\n \nTour Dates \n\n\n \n\n\n\nFriday – Saturday\n\n1:00 PM\, 2:00 PM\, and 3:00 PM\n\n\nGuided tours will not be offered March 13-22 while we offer $5 Spring Break Self-Guided Tours.\n\n\n\nIncreased tour availability will begin in April. If you have any questions that haven’t been answered here\, our team is happy to help. Please email us or call 319-362-7375 to reach a Brucemore staff member. \nWhat to expect from this tour \n\nGuided mansion tours do not include access to buildings other than the mansion.\nTours of the mansion consist of substantial walking and standing. The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor\, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors. The mansion does not have an elevator.  Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.\nThis tour covers the three main floors of the mansion and the Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar in the basement.\nThis tour is approximately 45 minutes long.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nEnter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE.\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. If you need to purchase a ticket\, you can do that at the mansion when you arrive.\nThe mansion entrance is on the south side of the building\, through the front door next to the circle drive.\n\nTips for your visit \n\nFor site navigation tips\, please watch this video. A labeled Google Map of the site is available here.\nPlease consider leaving bags or other large personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available\, but it is not monitored during tours.\nEarly admittance may not be available and there is not an indoor lobby to wait for the tour to begin. If you arrive onsite more than 10 minutes before a scheduled tour\, please enjoy exploring the grounds before entering the mansion.\nGuided mansion tours start promptly on the hour. If you miss your tour start time\, you may be subject to a shortened tour or asked to join another tour time that day\, subject to availability.\nFood and drink are not allowed inside the mansion during tours. We encourage you to enjoy a meal at one of Cedar Rapids’ local restaurants before or after your visit.\nAll ticket sales are non-refundable.
