Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, discover the multi-stage geocache\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Check out the new History Ungated QR code tour by scanning the codes on signs throughout the estate! Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHours through September 3\, 2023:  \n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, discover the multi-stage geocache\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Check out the new History Ungated QR code tour by scanning the codes on signs throughout the estate! Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHours through September 3\, 2023:  \n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. DESCRIPTION:The 26-acre landscape highlights a variety of experiences to enjoy throughout the year! Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, discover the multi-stage geocache\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Check out the new History Ungated QR code tour by scanning the codes on signs throughout the estate! Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHours through September 3\, 2023:  \n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. DESCRIPTION:Discover over a century of history at Brucemore during this 45-minute guided tour of the mansion. Follow an expert to hear stories about the history and collections of Brucemore and the families who called the mansion home. View the first\, second\, and third floors of the mansion\, as well as the infamous Brucemore basement Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar (which isn’t included on the self-guided tour!). When finished with your tour\, Brucemore welcomes you to explore the 26-acres of grounds and gardens on your own at no additional cost. \nTickets for guided tours of the mansion are available for advance sale on our website. Guests may also purchase tickets the day of their visit\, subject to availability. Follow signs towards the mansion\, where there is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nCheck-in: Please check in with staff at the mansion at the scheduled tour time on your ticket.\nBags: We will have a coat rack where you are able to leave items. It will not be monitored during the tour. You may wish to consider leaving bags or other items in your vehicle.\nAccessibility: This tour consists of substantial walking and standing. The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible due to preservation work. There are several stairs to access the first floor\, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors. Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge or contact us with questions.\nPhotography: Photography is allowed for personal\, non-professional use.
