Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. DESCRIPTION:Discover over a century of history at Brucemore! \nFrom Wednesday\, March 19 through Sunday\, March 23\, we are offering self-guided tours of the mansion\, and all visitors can enjoy the student admission rate. Whether you are young or simply young at heart\, everyone is a kid when they visit Brucemore during Spring Break! \nExplore the beautiful rooms of the mansion at your own pace. Knowledgeable staff will be available to answer your questions as you learn about the history of the site. When you are finished visiting the mansion\, Brucemore welcomes you to explore the 26-acres of grounds and gardens at no additional cost. \nAdmission \n\n$5 for everyone!\n\n\nFree (3 and under)\nBrucemore supporters receive self-guided mansion tour admission at no cost.\nA $4.00 processing fee is applied to all online and phone orders.\n\nTour Dates \n\nMarch 19 to March 23\nWednesday – Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM\nSunday: 1:30 – 4:00 PM\n\nThe last entry for self-guided tours is 3:00 PM. The mansion will close at 4:00 PM. \n\nWhat to expect from this tour \n\nSelf-guided mansion tours do not include access to buildings other than the mansion.\nAccess to the basement Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar will be led by a visitor services staff member approximately every half hour.\nYou may take as much or as little time in the mansion as you’d like\, but we recommend planning for 45 minutes to allow enough time to explore.\nTours of the mansion consist of substantial walking and standing. Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm\nSaturday\, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.
