Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.

Explore the beautiful rooms of the mansion at your own pace. Knowledgeable staff will be available to answer your questions as you learn about the history of the site. When you are finished visiting the mansion\, Brucemore welcomes you to explore our 26 acres of grounds and gardens at no additional cost.  \nPlease go to the mansion to check-in for these tours. Free and open to the public seven days a week for a majority of the year\, visiting the grounds offers the perfect way to immerse yourself in a historic country estate in the heart of Cedar Rapids. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Each program includes time for self-guided exploration of the mansion and the opportunity to enjoy an entertaining history presentation in the Tahitian Room! Your ticket includes a complimentary canned drink served from the mansion’s other quirky basement party space\, the Grizzly Bar. If you’re looking for a fun\, casual way to learn something new while connecting with other history fans\, then this event is for you! \nJune 25 – Tiki Talk\nIn the basement of Brucemore’s classic Queen Anne mansion is a surprising spot – a tiki bar! It isn’t just any tiki bar\, though\, this is the oldest known example of an in-home tiki bar in the country. So… why is there a tiki bar in this Iowa mansion’s basement and who put it there? What exactly is “tiki culture” and where did it come from? What does tiki culture mean today? Join us in our Tahitian Room tiki bar to catch an island vibe and discover the answers to these questions (and more!) at Mansion Mixer: Tiki Talk. \nDuring the social open house\, you are welcome to explore the mansion (which may come in handy for the evening’s group activity). Also\, make sure to find time to play some mid-century inspired lawn games\, like limbo and hula-hooping.
