The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor\, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors. The mansion does not have an elevator.  Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.\nThis tour covers the three main floors of the mansion and the Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar in the basement.\nThis tour is approximately 45 minutes long.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nEnter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE.\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. If you need to purchase a ticket\, you can do that at the mansion when you arrive.\nThe mansion entrance is on the south side of the building\, through the front door next to the circle drive.\n\nTips for your visit \n\nFor site navigation tips\, please watch this video. Perfect for fans of role-playing games and improv comedy\, this is a night of entertainment where YOUR ideas will shape the story. \nIn the world of Myria\, deep in the Gallerian desert\, lies a city of indulgence. Khala Miraj\, known for its night life\, decadent balls\, and incredibly easy ways to lose coin\, has a problem: trash. More specifically: monsters made of trash. Follow a band of mercenaries sent into the city to fix the mistakes of an artificer and their “Awaken” spell gone grossly wrong. With game master Alan Way\, you are invited to participate with your ideas\, monster suggestions\, and real-time decisions that will almost definitely make the lives of these mercs harder than they need to be. \nThis event is produced by Jason Alberty and Alan Way with players Fiona Howat\, Jackson Bartelme\, Kami Zbanek Hill\, and Kerry Patrick. \nEvent Date: March 6 \nEvent Time: 7:30 PM \nEvent Location: Brucemore’s Carriage House \nAdmission: $15 for adults; $10 for students \nSpace for this event is limited. Please email us or call 319-362-7375 to reach a Brucemore staff member. \nWhat to expect from this tour \n\nSelf-guided mansion tours do not include access to buildings other than the mansion.\nAccess to the basement Tahitian Room and Grizzly Bar will be led by a visitor services staff member approximately every half hour. These rooms are not available to access without a guide.\nYou may take as much or as little time in the mansion as you’d like\, but we recommend planning for 45 minutes to allow enough time to explore.\nTours of the mansion consist of substantial walking and standing. The historic mansion is not currently wheelchair accessible. There are several stairs to access the first floor\, and several flights of stairs to see the other floors. The mansion does not have an elevator. Please make the best decision for the accessibility of your party with this knowledge.\n\nWhat to do when you arrive \n\nEnter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE.\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403. Please do not use the exit gate on First Avenue to enter the site.\nOnce onsite\, follow signs towards the mansion.\nThere is on-site parking a short walk from the mansion entrance.\nIf you purchased tickets in advance\, please check in with staff at the mansion at the time on your ticket. If you need to purchase a ticket\, you can do that at the mansion when you arrive.\nThe mansion entrance is on the south side of the building\, through the front door next to the circle drive.\n\nTips for your visit \n\nFor site navigation tips\, please watch this video. A labeled Google Map of the site is available here.\nPlease consider leaving bags or other large personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available\, but it is not monitored during tours.\nWe recommend that guests plan to spend at least 45 minutes exploring the mansion on a self-guided tour. The final entry time for a self-guided tour of the mansion is 3:00 PM. The mansion will close at 4:00 PM.\nFood and drink are not allowed inside the mansion during tours. We encourage you to enjoy a meal at one of Cedar Rapids’ local restaurants before or after your visit.\nAll ticket sales are non-refundable. Please read our ticket policy here.\nTours may be canceled if weather or other conditions could jeopardize the safety of anyone involved. Brucemore will contact ticket holders by phone and email in the event of a tour cancellation. Tickets are non-refundable\, however\, the ticket value may be credited as a tax-deductible contribution to Brucemore within seven days.\nPhotography is allowed inside the mansion for personal\, non-professional use. Stroll through the gardens\, picnic on the lawn\, birdwatch on a woodland path near the pond\, examine the architecture of the mansion and servants’ village\, or take in the history of the site with interpretative panels scattered across the grounds. Don’t forget to take a selfie (or two) and tag us on social media! \n\n\n\nHours \n\n\n\nMonday – Friday\, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm\nSaturday\, 10:30 am – 4:00 pm\nSunday\, 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n*Hours are subject to change seasonally or for special events\, holidays\, and other occasions.  \n\n\n\nGuidelines for your visit\n\n\nWe love when furry friends come to visit Brucemore! Please help us keep the site clean and welcoming to everyone by keeping your animal on lead at all times and taking any waste with you.\nWe do not have any garbage cans on the grounds as part of our approach to remove distractions. Please carry out anything you bring onto the site.\nParking for vehicles is available on pavement near the Carriage House or Mansion.\nPublic restrooms are available in a building next to the Carriage House during hours with vehicle access seasonally.
