DESCRIPTION:Discover over a century of Cedar Rapids history with this self-guided tour of the Brucemore mansion. Explore the first\, second\, and third floors of the mansion at your own pace while taking in the architecture\, artifacts\, and stories of the Douglas family\, who called Brucemore home from 1906-1937. Use the provided tour book with information to start your experience and read stories about what the spaces reflect or how they were used. Interact with hands-on opportunities and ask questions of the knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Head outside after your mansion tour and explore the 26-acres of grounds and gardens on your own at no additional cost. We recommend planning for 45 minutes indoors. \nTickets for guided tours of the mansion are available for advance sale on our website. Guests may also purchase tickets the day of their visit\, subject to availability.
