DESCRIPTION:Embrace your creativity! \nJoin iowa Ceramics Center in creating ceramic leaf bowls. Use the changing leaves of Brucemore as inspiration for your hand-made bowl. Pick up your creation after it has been fired and take it home to remember the event! Masks will be required for this event and tickets purchased together will be seated together. All materials and supplies will be provided. \nDate: Sunday\, September 12\, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. \nAdmission: $30 per person (includes all materials) \n\nIMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION \n\nArrival: We ask that you arrive via our main entrance\, 2160 Linden Drive SE. There is on-site parking both near our Visitor Center and the mansion.\nSafety: Unvaccinated people are encouraged to wear masks at outdoor events. Guests will be seated at tables with members of their party. Masks will be required for all people regardless of vaccination status if weather requires moving it indoors. People may choose to continue wearing a mask at any time and are expected be respectful of other people. Free masks will be available. View our COVID policy here.\nCheck-in: Please check-in near the Visitor Center. If you selected Will Call\, your tickets will be available there.\nCapacity: The event is limited to 16 people per time.\nExplore: Visitors are encouraged to explore the grounds before or after the event. Brucemore’s Visitor Center will be closed due to COVID\, but restrooms will be available.\nWeather: The event will occur outside if the weather allows. DESCRIPTION:The performance has been rescheduled for September 28 at 7:00 p.m. All patrons will be contacted and tickets will be transferred to this performance.  \nTake a peek behind the curtain and witness music in the making at Brucemore’s Live from the Artisan Studio series. Enjoy acoustic performances from up and coming artists and hear about their work at Brucemore’s exclusive Artisan Studio. Bring your own snacks and drinks for a fun and relaxed evening of music. \nAdmission:  \n\n$15 per adult in advance\n$10 per student in advance\nBrucemore members receive a discount – please “sign-in” using the link in the upper right corner or call (319) 362-7375.\n\nAbout the Talent – Vandello \n\n\nA little bit early jazz\, a little bit modern swing\, and a whole lot of fun\, this cheeky trio is influenced by artists like Squirrel Nut Zippers\, Caro Emerald\, and Postmodern Jukebox\, but their fresh take on vintage sounds is completely their own. Their original tunes run the gamut from bouncy and boozy to “dark…but with a wink”. Folks often enthusiastically ask the band after their first Vandello experience\, “What the heck do you CALL that?” They call it Gypsy-Speakeasy. The Vandello trio includes Meghan Adam (lead vocals\, cajon\, percussion\, kazoo)\, Jared Adam (Guitar\, vocals\, kazoo) and Darrick “Big D” Chadima” (upright bass\, vocals). And it’s not uncommon to see the trio with some friends!
