Tickets for this special themed tour are available for advanced sale only. In this workshop\, participants will design a plate perfect for sharing cookies with all your favorite people this holiday season\, including Santa. All workshop materials and instructions for the warm glass technique are provided\, and no experience is necessary to participate!  \nParticipants will craft their cookie plates at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kilns. DESCRIPTION:Embrace your holiday cheer! \nBrucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring this popular workshop back to the Art at Brucemore series – but this year it’s double the trees\, so double the fun!  \nYou will design a beautiful double glass tree decoration using warm glass techniques. Both trees will share a single stand\, so you can create a forest of sparkling trees to brighten your home for the holidays. All materials and instructions are provided\, and no experience is necessary to participate. Projects include a wooden display stand.  \nAfter creating your tree at Brucemore\, all projects are then taken back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kiln. Check-out the other holiday activities inside the mansion\, including a craft\, story time\, and take-home snack. \nDates \n\nDecember 9 and 10\n5:00 PM to 7:00 PM\nEntry times every 30 minutes. Last entry time at 7:00 PM.\n\n Admission \n\n$5 Adult – All adults accompanying children to this event must have a ticket for entrance.\n$10.00 Youth (12 and under) – Infants through age 12 qualify for child pricing and must have a ticket for entrance.\nBrucemore supporters receive a $3 discount per ticket.\nA $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.\n\nWhat to know before you go \n\nThis event has limited capacity to keep the evening intimate and special\, tickets are only available for purchase in advance and will not be for sale at the door.\nAdmission includes activities and exploration on the first\, second\, and third floors of the mansion. Follow in the footsteps of the families of Brucemore as you explore the history of the mansion. \nTour Dates \n\nNovember 29 – December 29\nWednesdays – Saturdays\, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM\nSundays\, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM\nEntry times are every 30 minutes. Last entry time at 3:00 PM.\nBrucemore is closed for the Christmas holiday on December 23\, 24\, and 25. \n\n Admission \n\n$15.00 Adult\n$5.00 Student (4+)\nFree (3 and under)\nBrucemore supporters receive a $5 discount per ticket.\nA $4.00 processing fee will be applied to all online and phone orders.\n\nWhat to know before you go \n\nAll Brucemore holiday tours are self-guided experiences. Interpretive signage and audio will be available in select rooms to help you learn about Brucemore’s history.
