Education - Teachers

Education As home to three families for nearly a century, Brucemore illustrates evolving ideas about daily life. A cast of characters lived and worked on the estate, and their stories encourage students to explore different points-of-view. Playful little girls, successful businessmen, influential women, busy gardeners, a caring nanny, and many others made Brucemore their home.

Brucemore school programs are interdisciplinary and meet curriculum standards for fine arts, social studies, and language arts. Students engage in problem solving activities as they explore the mansion, grounds, exhibitions, and primary source documents. Considering broad themes such as family life, work, leisure, social status, and technology allows students to understand Brucemore as an example of larger trends.
